Talbot Partnership's Guiding Good Choices Program Scheduling Fall Classes
Thirteen families from The Country School and St. Mark's United Methodist Church recently completed Talbot Partnership's Guiding Good Choices Program, a four-week program for families of 4th through 8th graders on how to keep adolescents drug-free. The program includes an overview of adolescent substance abuse and risks of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use, and skills for family communications and for students resisting peer pressure. Families can arrange a program for their schools, homes, clubs or churches. Parent Lisa Whiting of Easton comments, "We as parents need to do all we can to help our children learn how to say 'no' to alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. This program is particularly helpful to our children as they deal with peer pressure, giving them specific skills to handle the challenging situations they may encounter."
If you are interested in enrolling in the Guiding Good Choices program this summer or in the fall, call Talbot Partnership at 410-819-8067 or e-mail info@talbotpartnership.org.
