Talbot County Youth Coalition for Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Prevention is sponsoring an Ultimate Frisbee Tournament for all Talbot County youth organizations on Saturday, July 17, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge on Dutchman’s Lane in Easton. Ultimate Frisbee is an exciting, non-contact team sport, played by thousands the world over. It mixes the best features of sports such as Soccer, Basketball, American Football and Netball into an elegantly simple yet fascinating and demanding game. Many Talbot County youth have played Ultimate Frisbee in school gym classes. For a review of the rules, see www.ultimatehandbook.com/Webpages/Beginner/simplerules.html .
There is no cost to enter this tournament. Teams require a minimum of 7 players, with one adult allowed with each team. Drinks and refreshments will be served. To register, please e-mail info@talbotpartnership.org or call 410-819-8067.
